This is not an 'offshore' support role. Our India team is a core product hub, operating on parity with our Singapore HQ. Engineers here drive end-to-end ownership of platform innovation. You won't just be testing code; you will be engineering the safety nets that allow us to move fast without breaking trust.
The Role: Engineering Confidence
Most companies treat QA as a final checkpoint. We treat it as an engineering discipline.
Our clients trust us with their life savings. "Move fast and break things" is not an option here. What we need is "Move fast and prove it's safe."
Here’s what you can look forward to in this role.
- Engineer the Safety Net: You will build and maintain scalable automation scripts that cover the entire stack - from Backend APIs (Scala/Akka) to Web (React) and Mobile (Flutter). You ensure our regression tests are reliable and fast.
- Shift Quality Left: You will collaborate with Product Managers and Developers before a line of code is written. You will review requirements for testability and ensure edge cases are caught during the design phase.
- Pragmatic Quality: While automation is our north star, we value thoughtful test planning and the human eye. You are willing to roll up your sleeves and perform manual exploratory testing because you know when to automate and when to test/investigate manually.
- Drive CI/CD Velocity: You will integrate your tests into our CI/CD pipelines. You ensure that our feedback loops are fast so developers can fix issues immediately.
- Guardian of the Client Experience: You will look beyond functional correctness. You will simulate real-world client behaviors to catch usability friction, performance lags, and data inconsistencies that automated checks might miss.
Our Tech Stack
- Web Automation: We use Playwright for high-speed, reliable end-to-end testing of our React applications.
- Backend Automation: We use Cucumber-Scala to test our distributed microservices (Scala/Akka) and ensure our domain logic holds up under pressure.
- Mobile Automation: We leverage Maestro E2E and flutter tests for our Dart/Flutter mobile apps.
- Ops: We are 100% cloud-native (AWS) and rely heavily on CI/CD to run your tests on every commit.

What Success Looks Like
- First 30 Days (Immersion): You understand our domain models and testing infrastructure. You have added a new regression test and performed manual testing for a new feature release.
- First 90 Days (Ownership): You are actively writing automated tests for new features within the sprint. You have built a deep understanding of many domain flows and have plugged several gaps in our current test coverage.
- First 6 Months (Impact): You now own the test planning & execution for major new initiatives and are actively elevating the quality of our platform with a “founder mentality”.
What You Bring (Requirements)
We care more about your engineering intuition than your ability to memorize APIs. However, this role requires a specific baseline:
Must-Haves:
- 4+ Years of Test Engineering: You have solid experience in automation. You are comfortable writing code to test code, but you also respect the value of manual validation.
- Strong Coding Fundamentals: You are proficient in at least one major language (Java, Scala, TypeScript, or Python). You can read developer code to understand where a bug might be hiding.
- Automation Framework Competence: You have experience using and extending frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium. You can write stable, maintainable scripts.
- API Testing DNA: You are comfortable testing microservices. You understand REST, JSON, and how to query a database (SQL) to verify test states.
- Collaborative Mindset: You don't wait for a "hand-off." You actively ask developers and PMs questions about implementation details to plan your tests better
Nice-to-Haves:
- Mobile Automation: Experience testing Flutter or native apps using Appium or Maestro.
- Performance Testing: Experience with K6, Gatling, or JMeter.
- FinTech Domain: You understand financial concepts, ledgers, or high-security environments

- Recruiter Screen (30 min): Quick alignment on role, stack, and mission.
- Online Coding Assessment (90 min): A hands-on coding challenge to assess your coding and scripting fundamentals along with Test planning
- Technical Deep Dive (90 min): Live coding and discussion. We focus on automation logic, framework usage, and how you approach manual vs. automated scenarios.
- System Design (60 min): We talk about test strategies for distributed systems, API testing, and data management.
- Culture & Values (60 min): Meeting with Leadership to ensure we are a match.
