About the Role
We're seeking a dynamic Product Marketing Manager to lead the go-to-market strategy and growth initiatives for our innovative anime fan engagement platform. This role combines deep understanding of anime fan communities with product marketing expertise to drive platform adoption and engagement across mobile and web.
Primary Responsibilities
Product Marketing Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market plans for platform features and updates
- Create compelling value propositions and messaging frameworks that resonate with anime fans globally
- Lead product positioning and narrative development across all marketing channels
- Design and manage product launch campaigns, including timeline, deliverables, and success metrics
Market & User Research
- Conduct regular market research to understand anime fan behaviors, preferences, and engagement patterns
- Monitor competitive landscape and identify market opportunities
- Gather and analyze user feedback to inform product positioning and marketing strategies
- Create and maintain detailed user personas and journey maps
Growth & User Acquisition
- Develop and optimize user acquisition strategies across multiple channels
- Partner with digital marketing teams to create effective paid and organic campaigns
- Identify and pursue strategic partnerships within the anime and entertainment ecosystem
- Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for user growth and engagement
Content & Community
- Work with community and content managers to build and nurture fan relationships
- Obtain user and sentiment data from product and community teams and come up with engagement strategies for different user segments
- Design and develop influencer outreach/engagement programs within the anime community
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product teams to ensure marketing alignment with product roadmap
- Partner with UX/UI teams to optimize user onboarding and engagement
- Collaborate with data analytics team to measure and optimize marketing initiatives
- Coordinate with regional teams to ensure cultural relevance and local market fit
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of product marketing experience, preferably in mobile apps or entertainment platforms
- Track record in launching and scaling consumer products
- Strong understanding of anime culture and fan communities
- Experience with mobile app marketing and ASO/SEO strategies
- Data-driven approach to marketing with strong analytical skills
- Excellence in storytelling and content strategy
- Project management experience with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in gaming, entertainment, or fan engagement platforms
- Knowledge of Japanese pop culture and anime industry trends
- International or regional marketing experience
- Understanding of community building and social media engagement
- Experience with A/B testing and user behavior analytics
- Familiarity with mobile app metrics and analytics tools
