Job summary
As a Product Associate, you'll be the crucial link between our clients and engineering teams, translating real-world pain points into actionable product capabilities. You'll work directly with prospects and customers to understand their workflows, demonstrate how Smartflow solves their challenges, and ensure their requirements are captured and delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement & Solutioning: Conduct discovery sessions with prospects and customers to understand operational pain points, document processing challenges, and compliance requirements. Translate these insights into product/project requirements.
- Product Demonstrations: Lead product demos for prospects across banking, private credit, and asset management. Tailor demonstrations to specific use cases (loan operations, credit analysis, regulatory reporting) and articulate quantified value propositions.
- Requirements Translation: Transform client conversations into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications that engineering can act on. Maintain the product backlog with clear prioritization based on client impact and strategic value.
- Implementation Support: Work alongside sales and engineering team during onboarding and deployment, ensuring customer requirements are accurately reflected in configured solutions and edge deployments.
- Feedback Loop Management: Systematically capture product feedback from demos, implementations, and support channels. Synthesize insights into product enhancement proposals with supporting business cases.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering to validate technical feasibility, with QA to define comprehensive test scenarios, and with sales to support deal progression through technical proof points.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in product management, business analysis, or client-facing roles within financial services, fintech, banking platforms, or exchanges
- Client-facing experience with demonstrated ability to conduct discovery sessions, manage stakeholder expectations, and translate business needs into technical requirements
- Domain knowledge in credit markets, loans, structured products, or fixed income operations—understanding of document-heavy workflows and regulatory compliance is highly valued
- Technical aptitude for learning AI/ML capabilities, API integrations, and enterprise software architectures.
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present to diverse audiences from operational analysts to C-suite executives, adjusting technical depth appropriately
- Structured thinking with experience creating BRDs, user stories, process flows, and solution documentation that drives alignment across teams
